The FHA group went to bed after midnight and were up and going strong at 6:30 this morning! The only morning when we could sleep in, where is the justice???
Today has been slow and peaceful and we are grateful! We went to breakfast at the apartment of one of our former missionaries, Greg Bayles. He put a breakfast together for us and all of his friends for an end of the semester party. We were able to see some of the missionaries from the Ukraine mission and eat REAL FOOD! It tasted so good. We can hardly think about going to the MTC to eat 3 times a day. They do the best they can, but it doesn’t have much flavor or variety. I can’t imagine staying here for 3 months!!
After breakfast we went down to Walmart to pick up a couple of things. We also went to the Provo Mall to find an adapter. They didn’t have any at the MTC Bookstore. Then it was back to the motel to do some laundry and rest. We decided to go out for Pizza tonight and that was a treat! We finished up the day by catching up on our journals.
We got our updated travel plans today. We will take the same flights out of Salt Lake and then on to New Zealand, but we will now be staying in New Zealand for 4 days for more intensive training. 4 days in New Zealand, that will be tough! We arrive in Tonga on the 22nd. They have a Christmas party planned for that night and then on Christmas Eve we will have dinner with the Mission President and his wife and Elder and Sister Groberg. Elder Groberg will also do a fireside for the Senior Missionaries that night. Alan is really excited about being able to spend some time with him again. That should be fun. What a great way to start our mission.
